Petrol Will Be 10% Cheaper, If ...

New Delhi: There is a good news for the automobile owners because the policy commission is making a policy that will reduce the cost of petrol cars by up to 10%. Under this scheme, methanol will be obtained in petrol. According to a media report, this fuel environment is favorable. This will not increase pollution and simultaneously reduce the cost of petrol. According to one calculation, if the 15 percent methanol is obtained in petrol, the cost of petrol will be reduced by 10 percent. Currently Assam Petrochemicals Ltd, Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (GEFC), Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited and Deepak Fertilizers make methanol and its capacity is 3 million tonnes annually.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said in a program that the previous government did not take seriously the process of mixing ethanol in petrol, which could save better in petroleum import. The Prime Minister has said that now when this biomass production is on the rise, it can be used to reduce the cost of petrol. Ethanol production will rise 3 times in 5 years to 540 million liters in 4 years. Petrol allowance can save up to Rs 12,000 crore due to this. It is noteworthy that India has to import 80 percent of its oil to meet its requirement.


Presently, the Prime Minister inaugurated the special web portal 'Paraswas' for getting the environmental clearance soon to the projects. The Prime Minister has said that he plans to set up 12 biofuels refinery by investing Rs 10,000 crore in the country. He said that the government will achieve 10 percent ethanol mixing in petrol by 2022 and it is going to increase it to 20 percent by 2030. This will create employment opportunities for every refinery 1000-1500 people.
