108 is a free phone number for emergency services in India. It is currently operational in 21 states (Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh) and two The Union of Territories (Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu.) The 108 Emergency Response Service is a free emergency service. This system was introduced by national union former union health minister, Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss. Because of the life saving service was so popular in the aftermath of Andhra Pradesh. This (108) system was introduced by the Central Government of India.
