UIDAI has given a stinging statement on Tuesday against the Supreme Court during a hearing in the case. Support card protector UIDAI said Google and Smart Card support did not want to be successful because UID is emerging as a simple solution to certify the identity, after which it will be out of business. It is doubtful whether the information taken for the support is safe or not.
Senior advocate Rakesh Dwivedi, senior advocate from Indian special identity authority, told the Constitution Bench headed by Chief Justice that a campaign has been launched from a commercial venture based in Europe that the support is used as a smart card.
He said, 'If the support is successful then the smart card will be out of this business. Google and Smart Card lobby does not want that support is successful and this is the reason why they are accused of support.
Justice Dwi Chandrarchur, appearing in the sensational bench of five judges headed by Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Deepak Mishra, said that the main suspicion is that the data that has been taken for the data can be influenced by the outcome of the election.
The Supreme Court commented that due to leakage of base data, the election result may be affected. The Supreme Court further said that the data taken for the support is safe, it is difficult to say because no statute is present in the country regarding data security.
