Good news! Now know your PF balance via missed call, SMS alert
Find out your PF balance and some other details by sending an emailed call to an EPFO member or sending an SMS alert.
Are you a member of EPFO (Employees Provident Fund Organization) and have registered yourself on UAN (Universal Account Number) portal? Good news for you now you can send your PF (Provident Fund Balance) and some other details only by giving missed calls or on a given phone number to an SMS alert.
Ministry of Labor and Employment has informed that EPFO consumers registered on the Universal Account Number (UAN) portal can provide their PF details with the Employee Provident Fund Organization by giving missed calls at the registered 011-22901406 registered with the employee mobile number. With UAN
UAN is allotted to its member by the EPFO and many members work as an umbrella for the ID, which is allocated to a person by different organizations. If the EPFO consumer's universal account number has been linked to any bank account number, Aadhar card and permanent account number (PAN), then it will get the details of final contribution and PF balance. In order to avail this facility, the member's mobile number must be activated with UAN on the Uniform portal.
The Ministry informed that if a person gives missed call from his registered mobile number on 011-22901406, which will be automatically disconnected after two rings. The EPFO member does not have to pay anything to take advantage of this service. In addition, these non-smartphones can also take advantage of these services.
The Ministry said that information on availing these facilities for obtaining PF details is now also available on UGG App.
