Messaging app whatsapp will stop supporting some smartphones after December 31, 2017. The company said in a statement that users using this platform can not create new accounts and can not re-verify current accounts.
Even before whatsapp has announced the closure of support on some older platforms. Whatsapp does not offer any new security updates or features due to the closure of the support In the blog post, the company has said that whatsapp will stop working after the BlackBerry operating system, Blackberry 10 and Windows Phone 8.0 on December 31, 2017.
Currently whatsapp will support the version of Windows 8.1 Blackberry has already announced that it will not launch any new smartphones. Blackberry 10 and Blackberry Operating System have already been discontinued. At present, the phones which are coming out in the name of the BlackBerry brand are produced by Chinese company TCL, which offers Android operating system.
