President Ram Nath Kovind launched the "Jiv-Amritam" project of Mother Amritanandamayi Math, which cost Rs 100 crores in Kerala today. Our correspondent has said that the President arrived at Kollam in Amruthpuri in Kerala today.
President Ramnath Kovind, who was on his first official tour of the state, started the project in the presence of Governor P Sathasivam, Mata Amritanandamayi, State Tourism Minister Kadakapally Surendran and others. The aim of this project is to provide clean drinking water to 10 million villagers across the country. Three of the 12 villages of the eight states adopted by the President Mutt also distributed certificates of open defecation in the open under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
