The SSC Scientific Assistant Recruitment 2017 notification was published on 18th July 2017. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct a open competitive examination for recruitment position of Scientific Assistant in India Meteorological Department, Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post for filling up total 1102 Vacancies tentatively. The SSC Scientific Assistant examination scheduled to be held from 20th November 2017 to 27th November 2017.

Pay Scale : Pay Band-2 (₹ 9300-34800) plus Grade Pay ₹ 4200 in pre-revised scale
Age Relaxation: The Upper Age relaxation – 05 Years for SC / ST, 03 Years for OBC, 10 Years for PH and other as per Govt. Rules.
Minimum Essential Educational Qualifications (As on 4th august 2017):
(1) Bachelor’s Degree in Science (B.Sc) with Physics as one of the subject)/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Computer Applications from a recognized Institution/University or equivalent (OR)
(2) Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized Institution/University or equivalent.
Application Fee: For General and OBC Category candidates are required to pay ₹ 100/-; No fee for All women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Handicapped (PH) categories. The Fees can be paid through SBI challan/ SBI Net banking or through credit/ debit cards of any bank.
Selection Process: A Open Competitive Computer based Examination
