Just now: PM Modi gave a tremendous blow to the price, now it will get cheaper of 32 rupees / liter..New Delhi Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again can shock the whole country with one of his decisions. The fact is that the Modi Government of the Center is discussing the matter of bringing gasoline within the purview of GST. In this regard, Modi government gave a recommendation to Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. The question now is whether the GST Council, headed by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, will pay attention to the advice of Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in which he had said that it is necessary to bring them under the GST to keep rising prices of petroleum products.Let us know that Dharmendra Pradhan tweeted that the only way to bring it under the GST for the fair price of petroleum products is the only way. Let the prices of petroleum products reach the highest level in the last three years. Bringing petroleum products to the realm of GST will bring down the prices.Explain that prices will fall drastically due to petrol and diesel under GST. The five tax rates in GST are 0, 5, 12, 18 and 28 percent. But petrol and diesel can not be kept below 12 per cent tax.In this case, according to the 12 per cent tax rate, petrol prices in Delhi will be Rs 38.1 per liter. Which will be cheaper than the current price of 32 rupees. According to 18 per cent tax rate, petrol in Delhi will cost Rs 40.05 per liter and at 28 per cent it will cost Rs 43.44 per liter in Delhi. If SUV cess is levied on 28 percent tax rate on petrol under GST, then a liter of petrol in Delhi will cost Rs 50.91 per liter. Which will be less than 20 rupees from the current price.Similarly, the current price of diesel in Delhi is 58.72 rupees per liter. According to 12 percent GST, its price will be 36.65 rupees per liter. According to 18 percent GST, diesel will sell 38.61 rupees per liter.According to the 28 percent GST rate, diesel will cost Rs 48.88 per liter in Delhi. If SUV cess is levied, then customers will have to pay Rs. 49.08 per liter for one liter of fuel. Which is cheaper than the current price of 9.64 rupees. But politics is also good for bringing petroleum products to the realm of GST. According to the GST Act, only the GST Council can decide to bring its products into its purview. Keep in mind that states also have participation in the GST Council. In such a way, the introduction of petroleum products in GST is like a knife.
